This natural jute* * is the obvious choice for a natural tied loop with sustainability & biodegradability in mind. Our neatly tied 2mm(approx.) premium polished jute cord 200mm /100mm* * * loop(from knot to the bottom of the loop) or 300mm/150mm is produced in the UK and is normally available off the shelf packed and sold in units of 100pcs.  Please do not confuse this with the nasty, "rough, hairy/smelly and weak", unrefined "junk" used for gardening etc.  Our item is processed & polished, smooth & refined, greatly reducing chance of loose fibres escaping into the air and irritating breathing/causing respiratory issues or clinging to and reducing the visual appeal of your products. It is clean finished. No need to separate from biodegradable tags when recycling, can be put straight into the compost bin.

This item is a natural product so slight shading could occur across different batches.  It is very strong(do no attempt to break this by hand) and sends a clear message about your commitment to sustainability and the environment. This is IS NOT hairy, it should not shed fibres onto your items. it is a premium polished item.  In contrast to heavy requirement & highly processed cotton crop Jute is a rain-fed crop with little need for fertilizer or pesticides. Please see above for generous bulk order discounts.

If you only require a small quantity of this please go HERE.  If your order quantity is over 30,000pcs and/or on-going, or if you require a different size please call us to discuss your requirements. Are you seeking a thinner cord? Try our flax option HERE.

This is a premium polished product and should not be compared to the "cheap & nasty" unrefined "slubby" garden twine variety offered on some "auction style" and "home-business" web portals.  As with all natural products this item can vary slightly in shade and diameter, which for most, in addition to its biodegradable nature, is its appeal & charm.

Biodegradable. In contrast to the heavy requirement & highly demanding cotton crop, Jute is usually just rain-fed, with very little need for fertilizer or pesticides. It has good natural UV resistance.

This item is biodegradable. Our premium biodegradable 2mm(approx)natural Jute, tied into loops. Supplied in units of 100pcs * In contrast to the heavy requirement & highly processed cotton crop Jute is a rain-fed crop with little need for fertilizer or pesticides. Currently available off the shelf in a 200mm  circ 100mm(from knot to bottom of the loop long loopand a 300mm-150mm(from knot to bottom of the loop,  this natural flax is the obvious choice for biodegradable items. This natural shade is generally regarded as similar to the colour of cardboard). As with all natural products this item can vary slightly in shade and diameter, which for most, in addition to its biodegradable nature, is its "charm".  Jute has a distinct aroma, described by most as "straw-like". This is a natural characteristic of the product and not a "defect". It is usually only discernible when opening the packages. Once it is processed, cut and tied etc. and has chance to "air" the odour of individual pieces is almost imperceptible. The approximate quantity is 50pcs per bundle. It is biodegradable. Many people are mistaken as they believe hemp and jute are the same fibre. They do not originate from the same plant.
