Heat-cutting "service" for our qualifying elastic and man made fibre cords. The sales unit is 100 cuts, the minimum order is 10 units(1000 cuts). Firstly order the item you want, elastic, ribbon, cord, tape etc. then order the cutting service via here.

Please ensure you calculate the correct number of cuts for the quantity of elastic ordered. Order the next "quantity band" up if your quantity of cut pieces falls between two units or you may receive some uncut product. If there is a disparity between number of cuts and the reeled/rolled stock then we shall supply any remaining balance un-cut which may be made-up from multiple roll/reel ends.

This is a service only, it does not include the cost of the elastic, order elastic independently. If we cannot cut an item it will be advised on that items page. Dispatch on heat-cut product is usually within approximately 5 days from order (Unless express option is selected). Please ensure you select the correct size, custom cut product cannot be accepted for return.

To order this item simply select the correct option and quantity in the fields above then click "ADD TO BASKET". Bulk order discount, if applicable, will be deducted automatically. This is heat-cut to the length ordered, not "in register"(between slots)  on button-hole, or between patterns on a patterned item, Elastic cut length variance is approximately +/- 5%. Please note whilst in the main heat-cutting of elastic does produce a sealed end due to variety of fibres, rubber types and construction methods used heat-cutting of elastic may not guarantee a sealed end. If the exact length you require is not listed above please order the next length longer than your required length and clearly state in the comments section the length you require the item cut to. We cannot rectify or exchange items cut to the length advised by you once the item has been cut.

Elongation/stretch/consolidation.
We cut on sophisticated, modern computer controlled machinery. The precision on this machinery is advised at length +/- 0.35mm. However(there is always an "However"!). There are a number of factors which dictate the finished cut length of a product, especially elastic. What it is made of, how it is made(round, oval, flat etc) its original packaged and it's size. Even, on some items, the ambient temperature. The finer an elastic is the harder it is to provide a consistent finished length. 50mm flat elastic is a "doddle",  0.65mm round elastic is a "nightmare" to work with.  Due to these factors, which are totally out of our control, the finer the item the larger the finished length variation must be. If your finished length is crucial then please contact us to determine the variation on the item you require before ordering..

Unless expressly advised all our elastic will contain natural rubber, latex.
