Product information below.KPR1 (Foot operated ratchet press).
For New, improved rental options & terms now available, see below. Also see below for more details and setting demonstration videos for some of our eyelets, rivets & popfasteners.
SupplyDivision's UK made KPR1 foot operated ratchet press is specifically designed for the manual, consistent setting of eyelets, rivets, studs and press-fasteners into textiles & also stationery items such as card & folders etc. Precise horizontal tool alignment and vertical height settings can be "locked-in" to ensure that a successful action produces a perfectly set item, every time.
Tools/dies are supplied separately as they are specific to each fastener, eyelet, stud, rivet or application. This press has a fine adjustment option to facilitate the correct tension setting every time and, unlike cheaper copies it does not rely on operator "judgement" as to how long or hard to push the foot treadle. Thus eliminating loosely set items from operator fatigue or misjudgement etc.
This item is engineered & constructed in the UK, helping sustain and support a quality, skilled UK workforce.
KPR1 (Foot operated ratchet press). We have supplied our KPR1 press to trade customers for over 27 years. Due to its simple efficient handling it has not changed in design since it's inception some century or so ago. It is easy to operate and can set most jobs rapidly and most importantly securely every time. Do not confuse this equipment with the "cheap" imitations or alternatives which are peddled by home businesses and some auction style portals.
We offer an "assistance package" to support our rental machinery clients, as follows:1): We are happy to allow the purchase of a reduced amount of consumable when initiating a rental contract(not on further supplies).IE. Consumables are normally supplied in units of 1000 sets or individual components(some applications require more of one component). When initiating a rental contract we are happy to supply 50% of the normal quantity(500 sets or components as opposed to 1000) to help reduce the initial outlay. In addition rental clients will enjoy a 10% discount off the purchase price of further consumables going forward. The minimum standard rental term is 6 full calendar months paid quarterly in advance. We do offer a short term rental option of 1 month(rental premium and kit deposit applies).
Rental is available to customers operating from a UK mainland address only. It is possible to hire the press only or the press and one or more diesets(tooling). See below of current standard rental prices. You may purchase the press/kit at any time. If the press/kit is purchased after the initial 6 months rental period a rebate of 20% of all fully paid rental is allowable against the original purchase price of the press/kit, up to a maximum of 66% of the original press/kit value. There is no rebate if the press/kit is purchased before the initial 6 months rental period ends.
KPR1 is simple to use, a "novice" will be producing quality consistently set product in minutes. Download a data sheet HERE. Get specimen rental documents HERE. See below for product setting demonstrations. KPR1's fully floating adjustable base allows precision alignment and exact vertical locking to obtain the optimum pressure setting. Once up to speed KPR1 press is rated at 240 studs an hour, thus eliminating the need for expensive pneumatic or electrically operated plant. It is supplied complete on a stand which incorporates two side trays for stud storage. It is designed for most press fasteners, rivets, eyelets jeans buttons etc. It is extremely versatile and can be used for placing trim into textiles and printed stock such as paper/card etc. We supply a full range of dies (tools), which are made in the UK of hardened and tempered steel to fit our own or your fasteners.
Do not confuse our press with the "cheap", poor quality items flooding the country on popular "auction style" portals and "pop-up" sites. Many are sold at a low price with some eyelets or studs to entice customers, however we regularly receive calls from purchasers of those who are unable to obtain components to fit the tools that the press was supplied with or spares to repair the premature failure of press or tools.A foot press is far more efficient than a hand press, as it frees up both hands to precisely control and manipulate the work. Once your KPR1 is set you can be confident that every item will be set at the correct pressure, virtually eliminating "failures" and the consequences of customer complaints, returns or worse. This press has remained almost unchanged in design/function for over a 100 years. It is very easy to use and produces a consistent and secure product every time.Approx dimensions: Overall height 121cm: Height of worktop 80cm: Width of worktop 50cm; Depth of worktop 50cm: Footprint 50cm x 50cm Approx. Total weight 30Kg. Ideal for out-workers, can be easily transported. The "foot-print" is just Approx 50cm x 50cm (slightly smaller than a standard household appliance), so it is easily sited in most workshops or even domestic locations for home-workers.
We supply a full range of dies, which are made in the UK by very skilled engineers of hardened & tempered steel to fit our own ranges of hardware or your existing studs or eyelets. It's fully floating adjustable base allows precision horizontal alignment and exact vertical locking in order to obtain the optimum pressure setting for your item.Once up to speed KPR1 is rated at approx. 240 studs an hour, thus eliminating the need for expensive, dangerous and high maintenance pneumatic or electric machinery. All machines are supplied with a 6 months back to base warranty, but anyone who has seen our KPR1 knows that it's solid construction & simple design will facilitate many years of faithful, trouble-free service. This item is made in the UK.
